Candidate must thrive on breaking news and have a ‘Do It Now’ mentality to excel in our fast-paced environment. Though the primary function of this position is the create news content for distribution on web and mobile platforms, the ideal candidate must be able to adapt to any changes deemed necessary for the benefit of the department. Qualities required: Proven news judgment, excellent computer and internet skills, competency in web image editing, good web and mobile platform showcasing skills, ability to aggregate content and produce original material unique to new media platforms, and excellent web writing skills/knowledge of AP style.
