WBTV On Your Side is looking for an experienced full-time Reporter to join its team of excellent storytellers. Must be enterprising and able to make cold calls to potential news sources to build contacts and generate story ideas. The successful candidate must have strong live on-camera skills. We're looking for someone with outstanding storytelling abilities, who can grab the emotional edge of a story and deliver it to the audience in a way that they'll remember. The successful candidate will have excellent language and visual skills and must be able to effectively use words, pictures, graphics and sound in telling compelling stories. Candidates must also have substantial knowledge of reporting on new media platforms, including the worldwide web. A degree in journalism, communications or related field is required. Expertise in field camera work and editing is a plus.
