KCBD NewsChannel 11 dominates its market even though Lubbock includes
two separate television duopolies. As the 145th market, Lubbock is the
retail and transportation hub for 25 counties in Texas and eastern New
Mexico. It is the epicenter for the South Plains billion dollar
cotton-growing industry and home of Texas Tech University with over
20,000 students enrolled.
