WAVE - Louisville, Kentucky
Located in the 50th television market, Louisville is
one of Raycom's largest markets and also one of the most competitive in the country with WAVE3 News having the fastest growing audience share. WAVE, which is traditionally the showcase for University of Kentucky sports, began a new tradition by becoming Louisville's Kentucky Derby station in conjunction with NBC's broadcast of the first leg of horse racing's triple crown. As this state's financial center, the local economy is driven by the presence of the primary hub of UPS, the University of Louisville, GE's Appliance Park, a Ford truck plant, and the state capital of Frankfort, which is in WAVE's viewing area.
