WFXG is the FOX-affiliated TV station for the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area) region of Georgia and South Carolina. It signed on in May 1991 as the area’s permanent FOX affiliate and quickly rose to become one of the highest-rated FOX stations in the country. WFXG launched its own in-house news operation in 2011 with “FOX 54 News at Ten,” which was rebranded “FOX 54 News Now” in 2016. News operations expanded with the launch of a morning version of “FOX 54 News Now” on February 6, 2017, bringing 3-½ hours of live local morning news each weekday from a brand-new, state-of-the-art studio located on Washington Road in Augusta, Georgia.
