MONTGOMERY, AL – Raycom Media and Kids at Play announce a new show venture – ME TIME with Frangela – premiering this fall in all Raycom Media markets. The new series highlights a Raycom Media strategic initiative to develop its own original multiplatform content.

Featuring Frances Callier and Angela V. Shelton, this dynamic team headlines an interactive 30-minute talk show exploring and debating the headlines, topics and characters of the day. If the audience is texting, talking or tweeting about it, “ME TIME” will be featuring it.

Expert interviews, video chats with guests and viewers, Frangela’s unbridled opinions and friendly debates on a wide range of topics, controversies and characters will have the audience laughing and crying with joy. “ME TIME” is more than just what Frances and Angela think; the viewer is a part of the show, too. Posting to the show’s social media, everything is fair game for the hosts who never back away from controversy, meaty topics and sassy fun.

Pat LaPlatney, Raycom Media President and CEO stated, “We are happy to bring ME TIME with Frangela to our local audiences at Raycom Media. This is one of many reasons we look forward to coming together with Gray Television to bring quality, original programming across multiple platforms to our local consumers.”

Ken Reiner, Raycom Media Vice President of Programming stated, “I am extremely excited to introduce these two very talented best friends to our communities and work with an extremely creative team at Kids at Play. From sunup to sundown, our viewers are running errands, doing laundry, making dinner, studying, working and raising kids. It’s a non-stop race so that’s why Frances and Angela love to say, ‘Women everywhere need a little ME TIME!’”

Frangela followed up, “We are thrilled to have a fun place to talk with, not to, the audience.  Everything is fair game -it’s no-holds barred and we can’t wait to be their favorite half-hour!”

“ME TIME” taps into Frangela’s 20-year friendship and experiences as comedians, pop culture pundits, actresses, radio/podcast hosts, writers, Tweeters, and Facebookers. Perhaps best known for fighting bugs on NBC’s “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here,” Frangela has also been featured on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and VH1’s hit weekly pop culture show “Best Week Ever.” They’ve appeared as pop culture pundits on NBC’s “The Today Show” and “Dateline,” as well as on CNN’s “Showbiz Tonight.” They’ve also hosted their own radio show “The Week According to Frangela” and they write and produce a weekly political and pop culture podcast “The Final Word” for Westwood One.

“The savvy daytime audience is consuming content across multiple mediums as they maximize the time in their busy schedules.” Jason Berger of Kids at Play continued, “ME TIME with Frangela is a show that is built with those foundations at its core with the highly entertaining Frangela duo. We couldn’t be more excited to be working with the Raycom Media and soon to be Gray Television team to bring this fresh and new format to audiences.”

The show will debut in September across all Raycom Media markets, reaching 16% of the country.
