MONTGOMERY, AL – Raycom Media is proud to announce that three Raycom Media stations have been recognized with a total of four National Edward R. Murrow Awards from The Radio Television Digital News Association for outstanding achievements in electronic journalism. Twenty-three Raycom Media stations were recently honored with Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.

The recipients of the 2018 RTDNA National Edward R. Murrow Awards are:

  • WVUE-TV/New Orleans, LA: won two national awards, one in the category of Continuing Coverage, for Cracking the Code, and the other in the category of Investigative Reporting, for State of Unrest.
  • WAFB-TV/Baton Rouge, LA: in the category of Excellence in Sound, for Donna’s Voice.
  • Hawaii News Now (KGMB & KHNL/Honolulu, HI): in the category of News Documentary, for Prescribing Hope.
